Don’t know if I’ve ever actually listened to Ben Folds, but Nick Hornby is on this as well which is quite interesting I think. Also it’s Pomplamoose, and we like them damn it!

Arnie sings again:
If you don’t like it he will kill you dead.
Hi! Apologies for the lack of posts around these parts recently, but hey, you should see my bathroom. Maybe I should flush once in a while. Here’s a great little stop motion animation for Turin Breaks song Sea change. I was quite moved when ‘corporal crouch-with-the-pistol-and-shorts’ died, but now I’ve said too much…
Who doesn’t like Conan the Barbarian? You don’t?! Okay then, I will fight you later. In the mean time cast your soon to be blackened eye over this musical version of the 1982 cult classic.
Actually now that I think about it if Conan were to sing at you, his vocal chords would probably be so muscular he’d sing your head right off your puny little shoulders.
Ok Go are a cool band who make amazing one-shot music videos which are as elaborate as they are epic. Check out the other videos such as… on a treadmill here and an amazing Wallace and Gromit style contraption here. Here is their latest, with what looks like a new band member near the end. A goose…
John Lajoie is a funny man from Canada. Here is his latest video about how record companies target young girls. Did I mention it’s quite funny? Well it is

A live tour of monsters and music from Dr Who, complete with newly shot footage has made me have to change my trousers. Twice. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, as this countdown widget subtly shows…
Thanks to Nicola for the heads up.

Let’s be clear: I hate dancing. It’s stoopid, It makes me tired and most importantly I can’t do it. But there is one type of dance I like, and by using the words ’10 Cartoon Dances’ in the post title I really don’t need to waste any more of our time for the slow reveal of what type of dancing that is. It’s cartoon dancing.
Here are some of the cartoon people dancing that make me Mr gigglyface…
I’d rather you wouldn’t, but ‘Call me Ishmael’ is the name of the awesome Glasgow based band called ‘Call me Ishmael’. Check out the cool and impressive music video with animated monsters running amuck in town.
(extra cool points for the Wilhelm scream in there). Thanks To Mr Putt for the heads up.
Many weeks ago I found myself craving the familiar and upbeat tones of Ray Park Jr’s ‘Ghostbusters’. Nothing unusual there I hear myself say. 4 weeks later, and I have been watching as many versions of the song as I can FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER. It almost broke my intimate and life long relationship with the whole franchise. Especially the irritating vintage console versions of which I’ve heard so very many. I really don’t know why. I think I’ve used the internet to stalk a song.
But don’t fear, dear reader, as I have come through that dark obsessive patch a better person, and offer you some of the better findings that I ever managed to find… including electricity, children, a dead popman and a girl with whom I have fallen in love with and married in my dreams…
I thought I had dreamt this (because this is what most of my dreams are like) but it is real people! William Shatner and some other person (the Taiwanese Susan Boyle? Really?) sing ‘total eclipse of the heart’. Gold dust.
Some genius has taken the comedy music from the great Songstowearpantsto and have made a neat music video to accompany said song. It is called ‘Robot Pirates’ and is about robot pirates. Yaar
Songstowearpantsto if we remember, boys and girls, is a cool site where you can email the guy with lyrics to a song and he creates it. Sometimes. He never made my song about a dinosaur librarian who doesn’t know the Dewey decimal system… but hey….I’m over it.
