It’s fifteen years to the day since Bill Hicks died. He got up peoples noses. He made us laugh in the face of adversity. He knew a thing or two about life. R.I.P.
According to Trektoday, the entire cast of The Next Generation will participate in voicing an episode of Family Guy. My….Geek….Gland….exploding… must….get….air….
All you internetty people will have seen this till you died. For the rest of you; I repeat;
The music from the moon stopped this past week or so for various reasons (my excuse is that I bought an X-Box. That’s a good excuse). To makeup for the lack of postage of stuff you’ve probably seen before, after the ’read more’ clicky behold 3 videos that are all different kinds of odd. We will try not to leave you again… but you’re all just so ugly….
A little voodoo doll turns hero in this award winning animated short film by Joaquin Baldwin. (yes, the world does seem to be preoccupied by little people made of sacks and stitches recently)

I think this is probably how Lucas pitched the original idea…

Moon favourites Adam & Joe talk a little about Mario Kart for the Wii, and are funny because they are…
They also have a talk about Mario Galaxy.
I’ve not posted in a while. Here is a video of a happy stoat. Thanks BBC. This is what I pay my license fee for.

As Smiffy posted earlier, the mighty Bruce Campbell was in town on thursday promoting his new film, ‘My name is Bruce’, a non stop barrage of jokes based almost entirely on his career… and it was glorious. The sweaty masses of fans were then blessed with a Q&A session with the big B.C himself. Thanks to some magical ticket wrangling by Clarence, we got to be part of the sweat drenched horde (I myself was particuarly pungent) and witnessed the majesty of the most charasmatic B-movie actor of modern times. (That’s Bruce Campbell… not someone else.)
If you’ve never heard John Martyn, but you heard about some of his antics you’d be forgiven for thinking he was an overweight drunken yob (though a charming, funny and damn lucky one at that). But the music he made was so rare and sad and beautiful it made it difficult to draw breath. Solid air indeed; better than solid gold. He said of his ‘Grace and Danger’ album, “I don’t give a damn about how sad it makes you feel—it’s what I’m about: the direct communication of emotion”.
Big John died on 29 January.
Let the music speak for itself;

Many, including myself, are baffled as to why Pixars amazing film Wall-E failed to pick up any Annies at the International Animated Film association’s 36th award show. These are like Oscars, and Kung-Fu Panda stole them all from under Wall-E’s little robotic face. Not one?? what??
Here’s a list of all the categories and winners at /film. It’s good to see that my fan boy favourites Futurama and the Robot chicken Star Wars special 2 got some Kudos. But Wall-E??
